As with most of the other less favorable reviews, these were a major disappointment. Binoculars means two lens to view with for a better view. Unfortunately, these are not real Bushnell's or maybe they're second-hand or something because one lens wouldn't focus no matter what we tried,and we've use other Bushnell binoculars that have no problems! I found out after receipt of the product that the seller wasn't actually Bushnell, but some third party. I tried to contact them three times, but they never responded. I would not recommend this buyer or product to anyone.

This is our second set of two. Over a period of 7 years the previous pair got dropped or jostled and stopped being clearly focused. We take responsibility for the damage as we carry these things everywhere. I got a pair for my sixth grade students to watch the 70 turkey vultures that roost outside of my classroom (something to do with low test scores?).



They use your own eyes to focus as you move. They are great for following moving objects because you don't need to worry about focusing. On our last trip to Alaska they worked well for everything and in extreme cold too. We like them alot.



Problems? A bit heavy. Not perfect focus and don't work well for viewing night objects. Have lots of little areas where sand or dust can get stuck. They are useless for close objects and not good for small, close birds. The plastic neck strap breaks easy and is uncomfortable.

Now my eyes are 20/20 20/15, it's a no go now darn it.

They also will not focus closer than 20 + or - yards.

They are very clear and good binos just not for me.

Good binoculars for handing back and forth between people who have different optical correction. There is no mechanism that focuses - the focus is permanently set at "infinity." As a result, anything less than about 50 feet is not in focus. Sharpness and clarity are good. Well worth the price for the tourist, but probably wouldn't satisfy avid birdwatchers.

The strange focus adjustment lever is just plain difficult to use. The lever is uncomfortable to reach and adjust. It wasn't easy for me to adjust the focus easily or exactly. This made finding the perfect focus arduous and time-consuming.



If you don't have a tripod, get one. You must use a tripod if you want to enjoy a long, steady, still gaze at your subjects.

I read the reviews on this product and was a little reluctant to buy it beacuse people complained that they were too strong and difficult to hold when looking at a distance. If you want strong binoculars that's what will happen. These are fantastic at long distance and need a steady hand. If you want close distance you will need to get weaker ones.
