"Did not live up to the hype..." 2009-04-17
By Gugleebear
I was very disappointed with these binoculars from the moment I took them out of the box. Overall, they felt to me to be much of much less quality than the previous reviews led me to believe. I found them to have a nice and acceptable image when used , but because of the casing I found the binoculars to be very uncomfortable to handle. The strap and case I found to be cheaply made, as well. I also found that the only rubber protection is the green colored casing. The black is hard plastic which I feel will be vulnerable to damage when used. I have since found a much better pair of compact binoculars, the Pentax UCF-R, which I enjoy much better and I feel are much better made. The Alpens have since been re-gifted!

 "The Best" 2008-11-01
By J. Lipman (South Carolina)
This little Alpen is great. The ease of use, the clarity , the size is just right. The wide angle option is a must for any Binocular owner. It widens the field of view very well. I bought this item and had a friend come over with his Binoculars. His was the regular type without the wide angle option. There was no comparison. Excellent Binoculars for the money.

"Quite satisfactory for compact use hunting and hiking." 2008-04-15
By Rio Grande (Colorado)
Good little binoculars with sharp imaging. Light and handy for quick birding or to keep with you in your emergency travel bag. Adequate for hunting or sports except in extremely low light.

 "Great Quality Binoculars" 2007-09-21
By Latida (Garland Texas)
These binoculars are compact, lightweight and of great quality. Well worth the price. The wide angle does add a positive aspect to your viewing especially when using them for stage shows or musicals. Easy focus and very clear magnification. I highly recommend this binnocular.

I found these binoculars to be everything they are advertised to be. The units are well constructed and compact. The optical clarity is excellent with no distortion. I am quite pleased with my purchase and feel that the quality of the units was a real bargain for the price I paid.

The Elite 6500 Series contains the world's most versatile riflescope, featuring a 6.5x magnification range, the widest in the industry. These scopes are ideal for hunters who want a scope they can use in the brush as well as on the wide-open prairie, from Georgia pine forests to the high peaks of the Rockies. Push/pull turrets with resettable zero make sighting-in easier than ever. The extended 80-MOA of windage and elevation adjustment travel (with .25-MOA clicks) make this scope a "must have" for the hunter who shoots a broad range of game and at distances that vary greatly. All models have a one-piecee 30 mm tube to deliver plenty of light for those perfect shots right before legal shooting ends, and up to five inches of eye relief. An ultrafine Multi-X reticle accommodates any shooter. These new 6500 models are flagship scopes of Bushnell's Elite line, with the highest resolution and widest field of view, as well as fully multicoated optics with Rainguard®, ensuring a consistently sharp, clear view even in the worst conditions. Rainguard® Bushnell¿s permanent, patented, hydrophobic (water-repellant) lens coating prevents fogging by causing condensation from rain, sleet, snow or even your own breath to bead up into much smaller droplets than on standard coatings. Smaller droplets scatter less light which results in a clearer, brighter view. Now the hunter won¿t miss the shot of a lifetime because of rain or accidentally breathing on his eyepiece. Elite® Bullet-Proof Warranty "No Questions Asked" one- year replacement (U.S. only)

"Great except at max power" 2009-01-19
By C. Hall (Bozeman, MT)
This is a nice scope. It is sharp and bright throughout its range, except at the max power (30x), where it gets a little bit cloudy.

"Good Deal for the Money" 2008-06-28
By Frank P (Orange County, NY United States)
The sky's the limit price wise for spotting scopes but this scope is very reasonably priced.I use this one for zeroing in my rifles at 100yds and it works great for me. It even comes with its own case. The only real drawback is a flimsy tripod. Don't leave it standing on tripod next to you on tripod unless you're firing a small caliber rifle.
